  • Pam Ayres BBC Radio 2 read out an appeal for office equipment

Daily Express - Launched a successful global campaign on our web site in support of the Bird Care Conservation Society of South Australia against the South Australian Government for revoking the shooting permit and allowing vintners and orchardists to shoot unlimited numbers of three indigenous protected species of parrots. Incited newspaper coverage in the UK and Australia. Victory! The South Australia government reinstated the permit system.
2001 July
Launched a campaign on our Web site in protest against all bird sales/shows and auctions that are in contravention of the 'Pet Shop Act 1952/'83 that states it is illegal to sell animals and birds in a public place.
2002 August
Article in 'PAWS 4 RESCUE'
2003 September
Allowed London Weekend TV (LWT) to film and interview NLPR on premises for their animal behaviour series with a special feature of the exotic pet trade (birds and reptiles). Aired on October 19th 03.
2005 October
Interviewed by French TV News 2 concerning avian flu, the wild-caught import trade and bird sale markets.
